Terms of service
Terms of Service
Green School
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the website https://greenschool.au and the educational services provided by E GREEN & T GREEN (ABN 22 872 790 390), trading under the registered business name "Green School". By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Return and Refund Policy.
1. Legal Compliance
Green School complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable law.
2. Enrolment and Age Restriction
Services are available only to individuals aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to enrol.
By enrolling, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Green School. It is your responsibility to read and understand all applicable policies, including these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our published pricing.
3. Services and Platforms
Green School provides online AI literacy and skills training, delivered as an ongoing membership across three tracks: AI User (foundational), AI Power User (intermediate), and AI Builder (advanced). Students start at the track determined during an onboarding consultation and progress between tracks when the teacher confirms readiness.
Lessons are delivered live in two formats:
- Group lessons — small-group sessions held online via Zoom;
- Individual lessons — one-on-one sessions held online via Zoom.
AI Membership is an ongoing subscription, not a fixed-duration course. Enrolments are open year-round, and access commences upon granting access to learning materials or platforms.
We may add, modify, or discontinue services and features without prior notice.
4. Code of Conduct
Students must behave respectfully toward instructors and peers. Disruptive or inappropriate conduct may result in suspension or exclusion. Students are expected to participate actively and complete assignments on time.
5. Fees and Billing
All services must be prepaid. Payments are processed securely via Shopify Payments by credit/debit card in AUD. All pricing is inclusive of GST (if applicable). Current prices are published on our website.
Green School is sold on a subscription basis only:
- Group membership — billed every 4 weeks (28-day billing cycle);
- Individual membership — billed weekly (7-day billing cycle).
Students are responsible for maintaining accurate billing details. Green School reserves the right to decline or cancel enrolments at its discretion.
6. Attendance, Absences, and Rescheduling
AI Membership is charged as a fixed subscription fee regardless of attendance. There is no "missed class" fee — lessons are part of an ongoing subscription, not pay-per-lesson, and there is no annual break entitlement.
If you are temporarily unable to attend (for example due to illness, travel, or work commitments), you may either continue your subscription and miss the affected lessons (makeup lessons are not provided unless teacher availability allows), or cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 7 and re-subscribe when you are ready.
7. Subscription Cancellation
Cancellation requests may be submitted through the Shopify customer portal or by emailing hello@greenschool.au. The notice period begins on the date the cancellation request is received.
Group membership (28-day billing cycle). Cancellation requires a minimum notice period of one full billing cycle (28 days). Upon cancellation, your subscription will not renew, and you retain access to lessons and services until the end of the current paid billing cycle. No further charges apply after the current cycle, and payments already made are non-refundable (no pro-rata refund).
Example: if you submit a cancellation request with two weeks remaining in your current 28-day cycle, you retain access until the end of that paid cycle, your subscription does not renew, and no further payment is taken.
Individual membership (7-day billing cycle). Cancellation is effective immediately upon submission. No further weekly charges occur after cancellation. You remain obligated to attend a maximum of two (2) already-paid lessons scheduled within the current billing week, after which the subscription ends entirely.
Exceptions. The notice period may be waived in cases of exceptional circumstances at our discretion. Nothing in this Section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Refunds and Track Changes
All payments are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, early withdrawal, or unused services. However, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected, including remedies for major failures or services that are not of acceptable quality.
Track progression is included in your membership: you move between tracks (AI User, AI Power User, AI Builder) when the teacher confirms your readiness, at no additional cost. The membership fee remains the same across tracks.
Full refund terms are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.
9. Student Responsibilities — Personal Claude Subscription
AI Membership requires you to maintain your own personal paid Claude subscription (Claude Pro), billed directly to Anthropic. This is not included in the Green School membership fee.
The reasons for this requirement are:
- All skills, work, and materials you create remain with you after the course, through your own account;
- Your working environment matches the teacher's environment for a consistent learning experience;
- It is the only mandatory paid tool — all other tools used in class are free or open-source.
If you are unable or unwilling to maintain a personal Claude subscription, AI Membership is not the right product for you.
10. AI Tool Use and Data Privacy
When working with AI tools during the course, you are responsible for managing your own data privacy. Green School provides guidance on what not to share with AI tools, including client data covered by confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements, confidential business information, and sensitive personal data belonging to others.
Because you use your own personal Claude account, your data handling with that tool is governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy, which are separate from Green School's policies.
11. Use of Content and Curriculum Updates
All course materials, recordings, and study notes are protected by copyright. These materials may only be used for personal learning by enrolled students. Redistribution or reproduction is prohibited without written permission.
The curriculum evolves over time as AI tools and best practices change. You have access to the current version of materials during your active subscription. After cancellation, access ends — there is no permanent archive of materials for former students. Curriculum updates do not affect subscription pricing.
12. Privacy and Personal Information
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment data is processed securely via Shopify. You may request access to or correction of your personal data. Deletion of data held by external providers is subject to their policies.
13. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party platforms (for example Zoom, our email provider, Telegram, and Anthropic's Claude). We are not liable for issues arising from their services, and use of such platforms is at your own risk.
14. Limitations of Liability
Our services are provided "as is." We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green School is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for major failures.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Green School and its personnel from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the services.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to services for violation of these Terms. You remain liable for any unpaid fees up to the termination date.
17. Complaints
To lodge a complaint, please contact us at hello@greenschool.au. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate privacy complaints to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), or consumer complaints to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will take effect upon publication on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
