How Online English Classes Work at Green School
Starting an online English course is a commitment - and before you make it, you probably want to know more than just what is written in the syllabus.
How big are the groups? What happens if you miss a class? Can you join after the course has started? And are IELTS, PTE and CELPIP classes just endless exam practice?
Here is how the learning process at Green School actually works.
Small Online English Classes: 3–4 Students on Average
Our English classes are intentionally kept small.
The average group has just 3–4 students, with a maximum of 6. This gives the teacher enough time to work with every student individually while still preserving one of the biggest advantages of group learning: communicating and practising English with other people.
You are not sitting silently in a large Zoom class waiting for your turn. There is space to speak, ask questions, make mistakes and receive feedback.
Qualified English Teachers Who Know Their Students
We take teacher selection seriously. Our teachers hold international qualifications and have personally taken the exams they prepare students for.
Many of our teachers also stay with their groups for years. Over time, they get to know each student's strengths, recurring mistakes and areas that need more attention.
That continuity allows lessons to be adapted to the people in the group rather than delivered as exactly the same programme to everyone.
How IELTS, PTE and CELPIP Preparation Works
Our IELTS, PTE and CELPIP preparation courses are not simply about completing practice test after practice test.
We normally divide the weekly programme into two complementary parts:
📚 One lesson focuses on improving your English overall.
🎯 One lesson focuses specifically on the exam format and strategies.
Why?
Because passing an English exam should not mean becoming good at one particular test while your actual English stays at the same level.
We want you to understand the exam, know its structure and develop the skills needed to achieve your target score - but we also want you to leave the course with better English for work, study and everyday life.
So after you receive that long-awaited IELTS, PTE or CELPIP result, the language skills stay with you.
Can I Join an English Course After It Has Started?
Yes.
Our programmes are designed so that key language topics return throughout the course and are approached from different angles.
This is intentional.
Anyone who has seriously studied a language knows that learning the conditionals once does not mean remembering them forever. Important grammar, vocabulary and communication skills need to be revisited several times before they become part of your active English.
Because the core material is cyclical, students can join an existing group at an appropriate level rather than having to wait months for a brand-new course to begin.
What Happens If I Miss my Online English Lesson?
Missing one lesson does not mean losing the material.
🎥 Recordings of our classes are saved in the course Telegram chat, so you can catch up when you have time.
If necessary, your teacher can also tell you what to revise, provide additional exercises and answer questions about the material you missed.
This makes our online English courses easier to combine with work, family, travel and everyday life.
Where Do the Classes Take Place?
We keep the technical side simple.
💻 Live English classes take place on Zoom.
📱 Telegram is your learning hub for course materials, homework, lesson recordings and communication with your teacher.
Instead of searching through different platforms, emails and links, you have everything you need for the course in one place.
